Writing a great first message
Your first message sets the tone. Here's what works:
| Do | Don't |
| Reference details from their request | Send a generic copy-paste message |
| Explain how you can solve their specific problem | Focus only on your credentials |
| Keep it concise and friendly | Write an essay |
| Include a call to action — suggest a call or next step | Leave them unsure of what to do next |
| 💡 Professionals with complete profiles convert more leads — customers check your profile before responding. |
Following up
If the customer doesn't respond straight away, don't give up. Space out your follow-ups across different channels and times — the second or third touchpoint often lands when the first didn't.
