At Bark, we are committed to ensuring a safe and secure environment for our users. Despite our best efforts to monitor and moderate content through automated detection systems and human review, illegal content may still appear on our site. This can be due to the ever-changing nature of online threats, including new tactics designed to evade detection. 

What is illegal content? 

Illegal content covers a broad range of activities that violate laws and regulations.This could include use of our platform for illegal purposes which could be for, but not limited to:

  • Fraud or financial scams;
  • Hate, harassment and discrimination; 
  • Drug or weapon sales.

How to report

If you believe you have encountered illegal content on our platform, please follow these steps to report it:

  1. Review your local police guidelines to determine whether the content should be reported to law enforcement.
  2. Submit your report via this form.

How we assess reports

Once you have submitted your report, we will review your submission and any supporting information that you provide within 7 days. We will use all information available to us to determine the outcome which can include: 

  • Removing or suspending accounts where illegal content is found;
  • Removing or restricting content on our website; or 
  • Written warnings.
