Report the incident to the relevant authorities

Your first step should be to contact your local police, trading standards, or appropriate law enforcement agency. Provide them with:

  • A clear account of what happened.
  • Any evidence, such as messages, receipts, photos, or other documentation.
  • Contact details of the individual or business involved, if available.

To report in the UK:

  • Call **101** for non-emergencies.
  • Dial **999** in an emergency or if you are in immediate danger.

Report the incident to Bark via our complaints form

You’ll need to complete our complaint form and you should include the following:

  • Your details
  • Crime number received from the police report
  • Details of the professional
  • Description of the incident
  • Attach supporting evidence, such as emails, receipts, or photographs

Document everything

Even once you’ve reported the incident, it is imperative that you keep records of all communication, invoices, and any other interactions you’ve had with the other party. These can support your case with both Bark and law enforcement.
