How to Report
1. Where to report fraud
a) the South African Police Service (SAPS);
b) the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA), for financial-services fraud; and
c) the Southern African Fraud Prevention Service (SAFPS).
2. Submit a report
- Email: legalteam@bark.com
- Clearly specify the violation type (e.g., fraud)
- Include supporting evidence (screenshots, communication records, URLs)
3. Review process
- Reports from official agencies are prioritized in our Escalations Queue
- Our team reviews and takes appropriate action within 7 days
4. Possible outcomes
- Immediate removal of illegal or harmful content
- Investigation into flagged professionals or buyers
- Potential account suspensions or bans if serious violations are confirmed
- Escalation to law enforcement where necessary
