Buying your first lead is exciting — but it helps to know exactly what happens next so you're ready to act fast.
Your credits are deducted immediately
When you choose to contact a lead, the credit cost is shown before you confirm. Once confirmed, credits are deducted from your balance straight away. You can view your balance at any time in My Credits.
You receive the customer's contact details
As soon as you purchase a lead, you'll receive the customer's contact details — including their name, phone number, and email address. These appear directly on the lead in your dashboard.
The customer is notified
Bark notifies the customer that a professional has expressed interest in their request. This is why speed matters — the sooner you reach out, the more likely you are to be first.
What to do next
- Reach out immediately — call first, then follow up with a message or email. Usually in that order
- Personalize your outreach — reference details from their request
- Check that your profile is complete — the customer will look at it before responding
| 💡 The combination of a call and follow-up message is far more effective than one approach alone. |

What if the lead doesn't respond?
A non-response doesn't mean the lead was bad. Customers change priorities, get busy, or inquire before they're fully ready to act. Follow up, vary your approach, and don't give up after one attempt.
