Bark Chat Guidelines for Sharing Attachments, Images & Videos

At Bark, we want our chat service to be a safe, respectful, and useful space for everyone. To help us keep it that way, please follow these simple guidelines when sharing images,  videos, and other content with others through our chatbox.

What’s okay to share

Please ensure all photos and videos are relevant to your request, respectful, appropriate for a professional setting, and that you have the right to share them.

What’s not allowed

  • Any content that could cause distress, offence, or risk to others.

  • Illegal, harmful, or explicit content, including child sexual abuse material, violence, or extremist material; harassment, hate symbols, or abusive content; irrelevant, misleading, or spam documents/images/videos; and

  • See here for further details.

How we moderate

We utilise advanced AI tools to automatically detect harmful or inappropriate content. A team of trained moderators reviews flagged material to ensure adherence to rules. If you are found to have deliberately or repeatedly shared banned content, then we may suspend your account. Severe violations, such as illegal content, are blocked immediately and may be reported to relevant authorities.

Help us keep Bark safe

By following these guidelines, you help make Bark a trusted and secure space for both customers and professionals. If you see or experience something concerning, please use the “report” button in the chat box or email us at team@bark.com.
