Understanding lead pricing

Every Bark lead shows the credit cost clearly before you respond, so you always know what you're paying upfront.

What affects the price?

Factor How does it affect cost
Service type Specialist services typically cost more than general ones
Job size and scope A larger or more complex job costs more than a smaller one
Location Leads in high-demand areas may cost more
Customer engagement A customer ready to hire may cost more than one still researching

Lead signals

When browsing leads, you'll see signals that indicate the quality and urgency of each lead:

Signal What it means
High hiring intent The customer is actively ready to hire a high-value lead
Urgent The customer needs someone to respond quickly
1st to respond No other professional has contacted this customer yet
Verified phone The customer's phone number has been verified
💡 Leads with strong signals tend to convert better — they're worth prioritising.

Example

A lead for a one-off clean of a 2-bedroom flat will cost fewer credits than a weekly clean of a 4-bedroom house, because the job is larger and more valuable.

How to check the cost before buying

The credit cost is always shown on the lead before you confirm. You're never charged without seeing the price first.

  1. Log in to your Bark account
  2. Click Leads in the top navigation
  3. Open any lead to see the credit cost before responding

Go to your leads → Buy credits
